Merkur GroupThe Merkur Group has announced a significant generational change. From January 1, 2025, three new members will be appointed to the board of directors. With this decision, the company is setting the course for the future and redistributing key responsibilities. Dominik Raasch, who previously worked as sales manager and spokesman for the management of adp Merkur, will assume responsibility for the Merkur sales division in the future. He succeeds Jürgen Stühmeyer, who is moving to the supervisory board and board of the Gauselmann Family Foundation after 37 years with the company.

Raasch brings extensive experience in sales. His new role is a central component of the strategic reorientation of the Executive Board. Stühmeyer will remain connected to the company in his new role and will continue to provide important impetus.

Gaming division under new management

A particular focus is on the gaming sector, which will be headed by two new board members in the future. Meik Sellenriek, who has worked for Merkur for 27 years, will take over responsibility for the arcade sector. He has distinguished himself in his career through in-depth industry knowledge and innovative approaches.

David Schnabel, a long-time companion of the Merkur Group, will head the newly created Casino Management division. This will be the first time that this division will be represented by its own board of directors. Schnabel played a key role in the expansion of the Merkur casino business and brings extensive expertise with him.

The reorganization of the board coincides with the departure of Dieter Kuhlmann. Kuhlmann has been a central part of the company since 2000 and was responsible for the gaming division. During his term of office, he achieved numerous operational successes and made a significant contribution to the further development of the Merkur Group. Kuhlmann will go down in the company's history as a formative figure. His many years of experience and his commitment have laid the foundation for the Merkur Group's current position.

Future-oriented changes

The realignment of the board is a further step in the continuous development of the Merkur Group. In recent years, the group has set new standards with expansion and innovation projects. Milestones such as the 25 anniversary of CEO Aristidis Tsikouras underline the stability and innovative strength of the company.

Michael Gauselmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, was optimistic: "I am very pleased that we have been able to successfully complete the rejuvenation of the Group Executive Board with these personnel changes. We are looking forward to the challenges of the future and are ideally positioned for them."

With the new composition of the board, the Merkur Group wants to strengthen its focus on growth and innovation. The gaming sector will play a central role in this.
